ArArAt has been part of the life of brandy lovers for many generations since 1887 and remains the best known and most successful brandy not only in Armenia but worldwide. Brandy ArArAt is the proud bearer of the name of the majestic mountain where Noah’s Ark landed. This mystical mountain is armenia’s most famous symbol. It is also one of the oldest vineyards in the world.  The Yerevan Brandy Company has been producing ArArAt brandy for almost 130 years using traditional recipes from Armenian white grapes and prame- nite water. ArArAt is produced by continuous distillation from vines from local vineyards and matured in carefully selected oak barrels.  

ArArAt 10yo Akhtamar is a 10-year-old brandy typical of its amber colour with a hint of copper hues. Her name was inspired by the legend of Princess Tamara and her ill-fated love for a commoner. According to the legend, her father did not want love. So he broke Tamara’s lantern, which was on the young man’s way as he followed her every night on the lake. The one without the light didn’t know which way to swim and drowned in the choppy waters of Lake Van. His last words were “Oh, Tamara.” Alcohol content 40%.
